PARKING

On street parking is available as marked on the map below. Please observe parking regulations, particularly in side streets. Metered (ticketed) parking can be found around the Palais Theatre or Luna Park area and off Irwell and Belford Streets. There is a Wilson multi storey pay car park located 50 m down Barkly St above Coles Supermarket and another pay car park underneath the Safeway store in Chaucer Street. Two disabled car parks are located directly outside the National Theatre in Barkly St – with a modified footpath to accommodate wheelchairs. There is also a disabled car park located diagonally opposite the theatre in Carlisle St.

• All Parking shown on this map is within up to 200 metres of the National Theatre.
• If parking in the streets, please check and observe all street parking restriction signs.
• Council Ticketed parking in Irwell and Belford Streets can be accessed by both streets (take note of the one way directions). Payment is made at onsite ticket machines and the ticket must be displayed on your vehicle dash board.
• Council Ticketed parking behind Luna Park can be accessed from Shakespeare Gve. Payment is made at onsite ticket machines and the tickets must be displayed on vehicle dash board.
• Other than Greeves Street, take care parking in any other side streets as most are restricted to resident permits.
• DO NOT park behind the National Theatre.
• There are two Disabled Parking spots directly outside the theatre in Barkly Street and also one spot diagonally opposite the theatre in Carlisle Street.
• The east side of Barkly Street (other side to theatre) is a Clearway until 7.00pm Monday - Friday, then unrestricted parking all other times.
• Acland Court Multi Storey and Safeway under cover Carparks close at midnight.
• Parking fees are current at time of publication only.
