CLOC RECOGNIZED IN AUSTRALIA DAY AWARDS
CLOC are very proud to have been awarded the 2008 ‘Community Organization of the Year’ from Kingston Council as part of the Australia Day Awards. The award recognizes the invaluable contribution to the community made by the many volunteers at CLOC.
As part of the proceedings it was announced that John-Michael Howson is CLOC’s new Patron. With his vast experience in all forms of show business, most especially musical theatre, both in Australia and internationally, we are very excited and proud that John-Michael has agreed to formalize his already close association.
CLOC wins Production of the Year 2006
2006 has been a spectacular year for CLOC, receiving 20 nominations from the Music Theatre Guild of Victoria and winning 8 awards including Best Production (The Scarlet Pimpernel), Best Director (Chris Bradtke, The Scarlet Pimpernel), Best Musical Director(Michael Loughlin, The Scarlet Pimpernel), Best Setting (Brenton Staples, The Scarlet Pimpernel), Best Lighting (Stelios Karagiannis, The Scarlet Pimpernel), Best Wardrobe (John Azzopardi, The Scarlet Pimpernel), Best Male Performer in a Lead Role (Shaun Kingma, Citizen Chauvelin, The Scarlet Pimpernel) and the Edith Harrhy Award for Contribution to Music Theatre (Allan Paul).
Thankyou to everyone involved in both The Scarlet Pimpernel and CATS for what has been a fantastic achievement: the Production Teams, the Design Teams, the Technical Teams, the Crew, the Casts, the Musicians, the Set Construction Team, the Publicity Team, the Front of House Team, the Catering Team and all the ‘friends of CLOC’ who contribute so much. What an effort!

CLOC Wins Production of the Year
The year 2003 has been a spectacular success for CLOC, receiving 25 nominations from the Music Theatre Guild of Victoria and winning 10 awards including Best Production (Pippin), Best Direction and Choreography (Tamara Finch, Pippin), Best Setting (Brenton Staples and Les Cook, Gigi), Best Lighting (Martin Karklins, Pippin), Best Wardrobe (Nancy Pizzi, Gigi), Technical Achievement (Gigi and Pippin), Best Female Performer in a Supporting Role (Patricia McCracken, Mamita, Gigi) and Dancer’s Award (Luke Taylor, Pippin).
Such achievements do not just happen. There is a huge commitment from everyone involved
: the Production Team, the Design Team, the Technical Team, the Crew, the Cast, the Musicians, the Set Construction Team, the Publicity Team, the Front of House Team, the Catering Team and all the ‘friends of CLOC’ who contribute so much. What an effort!
