The Phantom of The Opera has received two awards for 'Technical Achievement' and Design Award (For the Lake Sequence) in the 2013 Music Theatre Guild Awards.

CLOC Wins Production of the Year in 2012

The year 2012 has been a spectacular success for CLOC, receiving 24 nominations from the Music Theatre Guild of Victoria and winning 6 awards including Best Production (All Shook Up), Best Setting (John Shelbourn, All Shook Up), Best Musical Director (Jointly by Andy McCalman, Sunset Boulevard and Danny Forward, All Shook Up), Male Performer in a Leading Role (Jonathan Guthrie-Jones, All Shook Up) and Design Award (Brenton Staples, The Mansion in Sunset Boulevard)

Such achievements do not just happen. There is a huge commitment from everyone involved : the Production Team, the Design Team, the Technical Team, the Crew, the Cast, the Musicians, the Set Construction Team, the Publicity Team, the Front of House Team, the Catering Team and all the ‘friends of CLOC’ who contribute so much. What an effort! Congratulations to everyone involved.

CLOC IS PROUD TO PRODUCE WORLD AMATEUR PREMIERE OF THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA

CLOC Musical Theatre proudly announces that we have just secured the rights to present the World Amateur Premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA to be presented at The National Theatre St Kilda from May 10 – 25, 2013. The production will be directed by Chris Bradtke.

Aspects of Love Wins Awards

2011 has seen CLOC receive a number of nominations from the Music Theatre Guild of Victoria and winning 2 awards for our production of 'Aspects of Love' - Best Setting (Brenton Staples) and Technical Achievement.

Congratulations to Brenton Staples - Set Designer, Grant Alley - Technical Director, and the production and technical teams for this wonderful achievement.

CLOC Announces Show 2 for 2012

CLOC is pleased to announce that we will be performing "All Shook Up" for our second production in 2012. "All Shook Up" will be performed at The National Theatre St Kilda from October 5 - 20, 2012. "All Shook Up" is inspired by and features the songs of Elvis Presley including such classics as "Heartbreak Hotel," "Jailhouse Rock" and "Don't Be Cruel." The Production Team is - Director and Choreographer : Craig Wiltshire, Musical Director : Danny Forward, Costume Design : Victoria Horne and Lighting Design : Brad Alcock

MINISTER VISITS CLOC MUSICAL THEATRE

The Federal Member for Hotham and Federal Minister for the Arts, Simon Crean MP visited local community theatre group CLOC in Heatherton last Thursday and met cast members of the company’s next production of “Fiddler on the Roof”. “Fiddler on the Roof” will be performed at the National theatre in St. Kilda from 20 May. CLOC TO PRODUCE AUSTRALASIAN AMATEUR PREMIERE OF SUNSET BOULEVARD

CLOC Musical Theatre proudly announces that we have just secured the rights to present the Australasian Amateur Premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s SUNSET BOULEVARD to be presented at The National Theatre St Kilda from May 4 – 19, 2012. The production will be directed by Chris Bradtke.

CLOC Adds more Back Cloths to the Hire Stock range.

CLOC RECOGNIZED IN AUSTRALIA DAY AWARDS

CLOC are very proud to have been awarded the 2008 ‘Community Organization of the Year’ from Kingston Council as part of the Australia Day Awards. The award recognizes the invaluable contribution to the community made by the many volunteers at CLOC.

As part of the proceedings it was announced that John-Michael Howson is CLOC’s new Patron. With his vast experience in all forms of show business, most especially musical theatre, both in Australia and internationally, we are very excited and proud that John-Michael has agreed to formalize his already close association.

2006 has been a spectacular year for CLOC, receiving 20 nominations from the Music Theatre Guild of Victoria and winning 8 awards including Best Production (The Scarlet Pimpernel), Best Director (Chris Bradtke, The Scarlet Pimpernel), Best Musical Director(Michael Loughlin, The Scarlet Pimpernel), Best Setting (Brenton Staples, The Scarlet Pimpernel), Best Lighting (Stelios Karagiannis, The Scarlet Pimpernel), Best Wardrobe (John Azzopardi, The Scarlet Pimpernel), Best Male Performer in a Lead Role (Shaun Kingma, Citizen Chauvelin, The Scarlet Pimpernel) and the Edith Harrhy Award for Contribution to Music Theatre (Allan Paul).

Thankyou to everyone involved in both The Scarlet Pimpernel and CATS for what has been a fantastic achievement: the Production Teams, the Design Teams, the Technical Teams, the Crew, the Casts, the Musicians, the Set Construction Team, the Publicity Team, the Front of House Team, the Catering Team and all the ‘friends of CLOC’ who contribute so much. What an effort!

The year 2003 has been a spectacular success for CLOC, receiving 25 nominations from the Music Theatre Guild of Victoria and winning 10 awards including Best Production (Pippin), Best Direction and Choreography (Tamara Finch, Pippin), Best Setting (Brenton Staples and Les Cook, Gigi), Best Lighting (Martin Karklins, Pippin), Best Wardrobe (Nancy Pizzi, Gigi), Technical Achievement (Gigi and Pippin), Best Female Performer in a Supporting Role (Patricia McCracken, Mamita, Gigi) and Dancer’s Award (Luke Taylor, Pippin).

Such achievements do not just happen. There is a huge commitment from everyone involved : the Production Team, the Design Team, the Technical Team, the Crew, the Cast, the Musicians, the Set Construction Team, the Publicity Team, the Front of House Team, the Catering Team and all the ‘friends of CLOC’ who contribute so much. What an effort!
